Nootro is built privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect, what we don’t, and how your data is handled.
The short version
- Your health and supplement data is stored on your device. We don’t run a server that holds it, and we don’t have your data.
- There is no account and no login.
- We do not use third-party analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs.
- The only time data leaves your device is when you use the AI Coach or photo-scan, which send your message (or the photo you choose) to our AI provider to generate a response.
What’s stored on your device
- Your stack (supplements, doses, schedules)
- Daily check-ins (focus, energy, mood, sleep)
- Intake history, streaks, achievements, and your onboarding answers
This is kept locally using Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData) and is removed if you delete the app.
Apple Health
If you connect Apple Health, Nootro reads sleep and heart-rate-variability data on your device to enrich your insights. This data is never transmitted off your device and is never sold. You can revoke access anytime in the Health app.
AI features (Coach & photo-scan)
When you send a message to the AI Coach or scan a supplement label, that content — and a brief summary of your stack and recent check-ins — is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate your response. We don’t use it to build a profile of you, and we don’t sell it. If you never use these features, nothing is sent.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment information.
Children
Nootro is not directed to children under 13.
Data sale
We do not sell your personal data.
Your choices
- Disconnect Apple Health in the Health app at any time.
- Delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
- Avoid the AI Coach / scan features if you prefer nothing ever leaves the device.
